Rome Presbyterian Church By:  Rev. Dr. Karen Ballard
On September 13, 2020, the Rome Presbyterian Church opened its doors once again to worshipers, marking a new era of ministry in the center of Rome.  The church was first organized in 1844 and a church was built, but not on this current ground.  The current structure was built in 1886.  Since that time it has seen many pastors, congregants, landscapes, interior designs and instruments.  All have been for the glory of God in their season.  When COVID shut down indoor worship, the church quickly learned how to do live stream.  When the weather became nice, a tent went up in the side yard for gathering and live stream continued.  Taking the opportunity of time and space, and the volunteer mission team from Grace Ridge Church in Honesdale, renovations were done.  From seating to flooring, to a new coffee bar and A/V system we have a new space!
